Toowoomba Branch helps out Legacy

On Sunday the 1st of April 2007 members of the Australia First Toowoomba Branch attended the 303 Legacy Shoot at the Crows Nest Goombungee Rifle Club. Money raised from this prize shoot was donated to Darling Downs Legacy which provides support for Australian War Widows and families on the Darling Downs.

Up to 6 members of the AF Toowoomba Branch attended, along with friends and supporters, all of whom competed in the 500 yard 303 classes. Australia First members took out 2nd and 3rd in the competition. This was no easy task on the day considering the extreme wind conditions on the range that tested everyone's patience.

At the end of the day a cheque was presented to Legacy from the Rifle Club and the Goombungee RSL for over $300.00.

Special thanks must go to the Queensland Rifle Association and its members for hosting this yearly event. Thanks also to the Toowoomba Branch members for supporting Legacy and Rural Queensland.
